So It's God's Fault
If this caller believes that "our Heavenly Father" as she says chose George Bush to be POTUS then why isn't she bothered that He didn't choose a more adequate and competent group of helpmates to assist the Decider in fulfilling his role?
Isn't it sort of scary to think that there are people who honestly believe that of the more than six billion people who inhabit the earth their God would have picked George Bush to carry out their Master's plan?Â
What's even more strange
What's even more strange than the fact that she thinks he was chosen by God (not all that unknown a belief among evangelicals) is that she thinks he was chosen because he was from Texas!
At least, that is what I think I am hearing in that clip? Because he is a "cowboy" and there are cowboys and cowgirls in Texas (even if they are slow), and that is why god chose Bush. Or something like that?
Weird doesn't even cover this one.
She did! She also said if
She did! She also said if you send people to Texas to fix all these little problems everything else would work out.
She is confused about what is Texas and what is the United States of America.
I guess the devil chose all
I guess the devil chose all the people under Bush to work for him.

She also said if you send people to Texas to fix all these little problems everything else would work out.
Maybe the caller is related to Senator Trent Lott who, as we recall, believes that if America had only elected Strom Thurmond as president in 1948 instead of Harry Truman then we wouldn't have, as Lott phrased it, "all these problems." He never did specify what exactly were these problems but since Br. Strom ran on a racial segregationist platform we do not have to do too much guessing. Or, as we used to say back in the day, "You got ten guesses and the first nine are wrong."
Bush is a Godsend
apostates and reprobates each and every one-a-ya...,
G-Dub is an absolute Godsend. He has thrust America into a Nasruddian psychological paradox from which it can only emerge by changing itself. The policies sanctioned by the red state, religious right, neo-confederate base
target="_blank">keep it real. When keeping it real goes wrong, you find yourself squarely in the middle of an evolutionary blind alley which you could not fully comprehend.
There are two ways out of the blind alley. Both entail loss of American middle-eastern hegemony and repudiation of the consensus hallucination with which that base has been lulled and kept asleep.
1. Repudiation of the base by dramatically changing up the story and embracing the pragmatic necessity of co-existance with an here-to-now demonized Islamic theocracy
2. Reduction of selected middle-eastern population centres to fused glass fields - which brings World War IV out of the region and hot into a globalized location near you - while simultaneously destroying the American just-so story.
In either case, America will be forced to wake up here in a hurry. This, in and of itself, constitutes a necessary development on the path of possible human psychological evolution.
Oh. That's what you're
Oh. That's what you're talking about.
