I do have the rest of this talk. I don't know if it's desired or necessary. I've already gone into the pattern he's trying to establish. I haven't really made a point of how he conflates issues by reasoning reasonably for a step or two then attaching the term for the edge case to the result of his reasoning. mead, murray, and wilson are
mead, murray, and wilson are probably the three most cited people in the poverty literature. mead has ideological affinities--strong ones--with murray. he probably has more affinities with wilson than wilson would care to admit (given that wilson puts himself on the left politically). but he's moreso doing a namecheck of most cited poverty scholars. murray's wack as LOSING GROUND was the social science cement that drove clinton's welfare reform bill that was passed more than 10 years after LG saw print.
