Lerone Bennett is one of the few living humans I actively admire.

P6... Do you think Mr.

P6... Do you think Mr. Bennett's apprencticeship and service with a black publishing company has made a difference in his intellectual and career development?  In other words, what do you think distinguishes him from someone similar in his field who spent a career working for Time Warner?

Bennett cut his teeth with Johnson Publications, which was something of a mission when it started. 

The difference really is that Dr. Bennett is a race man in the original mold. Black historians seem mission-driven to me pretty much across the board. It's one of  the reasons I feel real comfortable with ASALH.
