just spitballing...,
it just occurred to me the significance of a physical commons yards...,
yards and cutting the grass and care and upkeep of the physical premises got menfolk of various and sundry stripes outside and interacting with one another socially in ways that i've never seen duplicated since.
also, thinking out loud
intergenerational interaction, conversation, collaboration on the regular..., cause keeping up your yard was a common project objective...,
