I just crept into Large Mammal status. And I'm really not sure how that happened.

Totally unrelated to that, I haven't read the news or even the editorial cartoons today. I'll get to it, but I doubt posting anything about it. I've been scanning my normal political blogs but reading culture via following links from blogs by Black folks. I can't comment on all of them, of course, but I have to get to several on Lynne d Johnson's diary. In particular, I'm reminded to comment on an article on a Malaysian/Muslim/Hip hop intersection and what does it mean to be a black blogger.

Congratulations.Unfortunately, the Ecosystem is such a fickle tracking system. I lived near the top of the Large Mammal category for what seemed like forever, then after taking a month off, fell like a lead balloon to the middle. Oh well. Creeping back up again slowly, but it doesn't really matter. I suspect it's not why either of us blog ;-)That reminds me to change your addy on my sidebar.
I'm currently a large mammal as well and holding steady there. When I checked before I was near the bottom, now I seem to be in about the middle.
Those listings get long enough that it's hard to pickout the new ones, which is unfortunate. Truth is, I always felt a better way to do such a listing is to count unique blogs.
