All respect and no restraint

A question for everyone, but especially Black Conservative, that was on Paris, TX side in the Shaquanda Cotton case

Read this and tell me what you think now.

The officials of Paris, TX lied. Ms. Cotton agreed to the terms of probation yet it was still denied. Judge Superville would not speculate on why...but felt free to repeat the accusation, as did the District Attorney's office. They literally had no concern for the truth. Knowing there was a transcript, they blithely lied because they couldn't conceive of being challenged, or because they valued the peace of mind of one community over justice and equal protection under the law for the other.

My question: how stupid do you feel for supporting those officials? And are you going to admit you're wrong?

Court discrepancy revealed

"Let her out of TYC," said Allan Hubbard, spokesman for Lamar County District Atty. Gary Young. "Hell, she's done a year for pushing a teacher. That's too long."

Hubbard also backed away from claims he and Young made this week in numerous media interviews that the judge in the case, Lamar County Judge Chuck Superville, had had no choice but to send the youth to prison because her mother had testified that she would not cooperate with probation officials had the judge sentenced the teen to probation.

On Thursday, Young's official Web site contained this assertion: "This juvenile's mother (Creola Cotton) told the judge she would not comply with conditions of probation."

But a review of the full court transcript shows no such testimony. In fact, Creola Cotton repeatedly answered "yes" when asked in court whether she would comply with any conditions of probation that the judge might impose.

On Friday morning, after an inquiry about this discrepancy by the Tribune, the district attorney's Web site was altered to read: "Through her actions of non-cooperation, Ms. Cotton told the judge she would not comply with conditions of probation."

They won't apologize.

But, I could care less. Let them live with their decision.

I'm glad this nightmare is about over for her. But, the mother needs to take her and move elsewhere.

I don't care about apologies

I don't care about apologies because they consciously picked a side and so are not sorry. But admitting they were wrong would make me consider the possibility of their being serious.

Black Conservatives

I missed their commentaries. Did these folks actually side with and support sending a child to prison for pushing someone? Did any of them express an opinion as to what the same judge should have done about the obviously disturbed teenager who burned down her family's home.

Given my guesses about their reasoning over Shaquanda Cotton's case, I'm certain that these so-called Black Conservatives recommended publicly flogging and hanging the teenage arsonist.

more unctious than Orin phukking Hatch....,

No admission of error or stupidity, just some lame and bitch-assed apologia for a flawed system...,

I didn't see much of it as

I didn't see much of it as upfront posting; more in comments.

The Black Informant's commentary stands out as really really bad, though.

Two of the things this girl did prior to all of this happening was:

A. She deficated [sic] on a school desk
B. She came to school with a short dress going against a standing school policy.

The problem with ADHD is that like the “bi-polar condition, it has become the catch-all for all sorts of bad behavior. I’ve come across quite a few kids who had the same condition she has and NEVER have I heard of them doing these typed of things. Plus, if her consistant bad behaviour was due to her “medical condition why then did her mother keep her in that school if she knew full well that she was causing all of that trouble? Why did the mother refuse to work with the judge so that her “sick daughter could get a lighter punishment. Methinks that Shaquanda was the arrow her mother used to attack the system.

When asked where he got the defecation thing, he said

Do a search for it yourself. I think I found it on the Paris News website (sorry, I am out of it tonight).

At minimum he must question his sources.

No, he doesn't...I do.

Just for the record

I figured out the defecation thing. Shaquanda was accused of defacing a desk that school officials later admitted had no damage.
