I have no problem with young people engaging in battle and suffering severe consequences for a righteous cause. We need more of that. The people who really provided the energy for the civil rights movement were in college.

But getting in harm’s way over the ignorant utterances of a shock jock? Getting in harm’s way so a coach could have her moment to tell the world about the troubles she’s known? Getting in harm’s way so Al and Jesse James can flex their muscle by beating up another tomato can?

No way. It was irresponsible, self-indulgent and typical of the kind of domestic terrorism Sharpton and Jackson have come to specialize in.

i think it's also the 15 minutes that have exerted selective influence on his scribblings..., he's got a full page in the op-ed as the featured sunday forum and he's gonna be on oprah tomorrow.

as is always the case with coonservative commentary, I wonder if he's doing the very best he can with what little he has and genuinely believes this shyte, or, whether he's intentionally soothing manipulating the fat hump of the bell curve with carefully constructed chindribble.

As it turns out, there's gonna be a part two tomorrow and it's a lot deeper than the big sessy blame it on Black folks coonshow, too.  they have gayle at spelman, stanley crouch, two former editors of essence, via satellite rev. al,  dr. robin smith.  bottom line from what I've seen thus far, big sessy basically gets his dumb country ass plowed under, looks and sounds like a bigger fool than he reads.

stanley crouch is acquitting himself very nicely calling rhyming and posing (RaP) minstrelsy.  

Ruthell Thimmons and Common are among the head minstrels out in the audience taking these hard swift kicks in the ass, evidently, they'll get their say tomorrow.  

so it'll be a month of sundays before i get it converted to digital.  (I don't do Oprah either, but when I heard that the hometown clown would be on, I was compelled to take a peek - my peeps were cracking on me about going soft for even just recording Oprah) anyway, I think it's gonna be vastly more interesting fare than I expected, and, with another full hour of it on tomorrow, might be worth your recording, even if you don't view it right away.

ladies from spelman done called em out again, "quit lying ruthell, take responsibility for being part of the problem", "completely disrespectful for there to only be men on this panel", "what do you tell your daughters about this mess you're peddling?"
