All respect and no restraint

Can it be we will be spared the prospect of Vice President Kerik?

"I don't think it's for him to judge Giuliani's personal decisions," one person said.

Au contrere. That is exactly a priest's purview.

Giuliani can't take communion anyway because he never got a church annulment of his marriage to Hanover, but the abortion flap has bogged down his campaign for over a week.

Takes Big Hit In N.H. Poll; Business Practices In Question

(CBS) NEW YORK Rudy Giuliani's presidential campaign is beginning to stumble.

A new poll in New Hampshire shows Giuliani losing ground to Mitt Romney. The former Massachusetts governor is now ahead with 32 percent -- a jump of 11 points since January.

This comes as Giuliani is in a political and religious squeeze over his stance on abortion.

New Yorkers appear split down the middle on whether the Catholic Church's stance matters. Parishioners at St. Monica's Catholic Church on East 79th Street -- the parish where Giuliani married second wife Donna Hanover --are debating a move by their monsignor that could hurt the former mayor's presidential campaign. The pastor of St. Monica's says he would never give Giuliani Holy Communion at the church because of his public stance on abortion is against church teachings.

"I don't think it's for him to judge Giuliani's personal decisions," one person said.

But others think differently.

He has problems in Iowa

He got a town all ready for him to come, and then they were told, and I quote, ' You can't give him a million dollars, so we have somewhere else to go.'

 THIS IS IOWA.

You SIMPLY DON'T DO MESS LIKE THIS.

He's backtracking now, saying it was a 'misunderstanding', but that story is spreading like wildfire all over Iowa.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
