All respect and no restraint

Outsourcing and Darfur

I'll hold off on these...I feel there's some oversimplification going on (though I do like the no-fly-zone over Sudan).

Maybe we should have invaded Darfur for its oil. They got close to as much oil and would have been much easier to defeat than Iraq.

Then again, the Somalis are asking for more American military support right now.

I don't know. Perhaps it is

I don't know. Perhaps it is just me, but I found the debate quite trite.

Nah, it wasn't just you. All

Nah, it wasn't just you. All the "debates" have been trite. None of them speak to the obvious obstacles they will face getting any of it done.

Do you think if they threw off half the candidates

It wouldn't be so trite?

P6.... did the debate live

P6.... did the debate live up to your expectations?

ubstu34: Yeah, I'd say so.

ubstu34:

Yeah, I'd say so. That may not be a good thing, though. Obama was inspiring for too damn long, Clinton was polished and practiced, Edwards is pretty close to an endorsement from me (though Obama is too), Richardson was brown too, Biden stuck his foot in his mouth without realizing it, Kucinich was Kucinich, Dodd was Dodd and Gravel was Gravel. And I already got two press releases, from Biden and Dodd, saying they won the debate...and nothing else.

rikrah:

Maybe...but politically all of them need to be in there. Gravel is the progressive equivant of David Broder. People have only been shown George Will and a centrist and been told that all there is for so long the perceived center is actually center right. You need left-progressive voices in the mix, far enough left to recenter the public discussion.
