Look what white people talk about when they think you aren't listening.

Dear Mr. Anonymous,

Thank you for an article by Khalil G. Muhammad.

It seems to me that Mr. Khalil G. Muhammad is really defending  black dysfunction by saying that some whites are as bad as blacks. Can’t argue with that.

First, I remind  you that I address black topics only after reading about the subject in usually the daily papers. I don’t initiate criticism; I react to it.

I have never and should never say that whites are without faults. It is the proportions that I usually address. Yes, we have whites in prison but not nearly proportionately as many as blacks. Yes, whites are involved in illegitimacy but not  in the same proportions. And so it is with illiteracy and welfare dependency.

The proportions are the result of consciously implemented public policy. Which, not being the target thereof, this gentleman is free to pretend does not exist and never has.

I don’t find it smart to take the worse of whites compared to the best of blacks. Recently, I discussed with a homosexual the problems with gays. He went on to give examples of great things done by gays while describing the most atrocious things done by heterosexuals.  This is not fair and balanced.

He actually compared the worst of whites with the worst of Blacks. Remarkable hoiw he never noticed that... 

Muhammad says, “. . . of hip-hop, Du Bois's warning still goes unheeded. If rap music is so bad, why are white kids its major consumers?” First and foremost, it is much easier to decline into barbarism than to rise in refinement. The rap and hip-hop are savage in nature. It is Bach, Brahm, and Beethoven that are not so easy to emulate. Refinement comes with work and dedication. Savagery comes without effort.  Whites too are perverted by prosperity, are becoming lazy,  and have started riding on their laurels.   But, again my man, I remind you of proportions.

As I remind you of the reasons for the proportions. 

Muhammad is asking, “Were "white values" on display two years ago when the federal government failed to adequately respond to one of the greatest natural disasters in American history?”  Is this man speaking of New Orleans?  It is mostly whites who left the comforts of their home in large numbers to drive 2,000 miles to New Orleans to assist in any way they could.  I saw very few blacks in the rescue efforts. It is mostly blacks who were on a rampage in the city, looting,  carrying off TVs in a city without power, sitting on rooftops waiting for rescue.

This gentleman never bothered to read up on how the "rampaging, looting, etc." was media-generated bullshit.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- They locked down the entrance doors Thursday at the Baton Rouge hotel where I'm staying alongside hundreds of New Orleans residents driven from their homes by Hurricane Katrina.

"Because of the riots," the hotel managers explained. Armed Gunmen from New Orleans were headed this way, they had heard.

"It's the blacks," whispered one white woman in the elevator. "We always worried this would happen."

Something else gave way last week besides the levees that had protected New Orleans from the waters surrounding it. The thin veneer of civility and practiced cordiality that in normal times masks the prejudices and bigotries held by many whites in this region of Deep South Louisiana was heavily battered as well.

All it took to set the rumor mills in motion were the first TV pictures broadcast Tuesday showing some looters—many of them black—smashing store windows in downtown New Orleans. Reports later in the week of sporadic violence and shootings among the desperate throngs outside the Superdome clamoring to be rescued only added to the panic.

By Thursday, local TV and radio stations in Baton Rouge—the only ones in the metro area still able to broadcast—were breezily passing along reports of cars being hijacked at gunpoint by New Orleans refugees, riots breaking out in the shelters set up in Baton Rouge to house the displaced, and guns and knives being seized.

Scarcely any of it was true—the police, for example, confiscated a single knife from a refugee in one Baton Rouge shelter. There were no riots in Baton Rouge. There were no armed hordes.

But all of it played directly into the darkest prejudices long held against the hundreds of thousands of impoverished blacks who live "down there," in New Orleans, that other world regarded by many white suburbanites—indeed, many people across the rest of the state—as a dangerous urban no-go area.

Obviously it was too much trouble to actually validate the news, especially after his preconceptions had been confirmed.

Muhammad is asking, “Are legions of whites similarly devaluing higher education? Are they "acting black"?”  I say yes.  It disgusts me to see whites with hat on backward, loose baggy pants, shirts down to the knees. I know where they are headed and the direction is not up. Too many whites go to universities for the sexual and drug orgies.

Muhammad is asking, “What of underperforming white school children in rural America, the Great Plains, Appalachia or the Deep South?” Response: my dear fellow, try speaking in terms of proportions. I don’t remember anyone saying that no white school underperforms.

You try taking the reason for those proportions into account. 

Muhammad  is asking us to describe or define white values. White values are what has made  nations the most envied on earth. Which are the most envied even by blacks? It is in those nations that one can find white values.

That's money. 

Blacks fail not only in America but all over the world. Empirical data supports this. Most successful nations are white based. South Africa is half successful but was created by whites. Zimbabwe, once exporting food,  was doing well until blacks took control. Today, Zimbabwe is a basket case of poverty, hunger, and despair.

Your white nations are too new to be judged on an historical basis. And your Black nations arew even newer, having been disrupted by European guns, gerns and steel.

Besides, the USofA is not a white nation. It has always been as much African and Amerind as European, and it is that fusion even White Nations seek to emulate.

Take yourself, Mr. Anonymous, if you could find a suitable black nation, would you not prefer being a member of the majority? But, in America, a member of the minority is far better off than a member of the majority in any black nation of the world. Would you not agree?

I am not a savant in these matters. I judge only by rational observations and statistics. And I try to be fair and balanced.
