Goodbye Song
Just because I fill
An empty place in your life
Doesn't mean you care
A poison passion
Can deal a loving spirit
Damage beyond repair
I see a nightmare
Is just as truly dreaming
As fantasy flight
A bruised, battered heart
Still caring, wishing you well
Is driven from your sight

This is too deep for me, P6
You are just taking us ' there'.

Poetry used to be a big self-examination tool for me. I can't always write it, but I kept most of the good stuff.

Not that this is any of my business, but does this poem pertain to the recent loss in your family. Don't answer if this is too personal.
Nah. This is ten years old.

I don't get the third stanza, but the first, second, and fourth ring through pretty clear--to me anyway. The title of this post is appropriate because men need to express more besides testosterone induced fantasies and material desires to other men. I think men waste more time expressing their appreciation of the opposite sex to other men when they could spend more time exploring their vulnerabilities. Thanks for sharing the poem.
