All respect and no restraint

Poetry for Men

Knightmare
by Earl Dunovant

I used to be
A knight in shining armor
A pretender
To the throne of Prince Charming

You were too blind to see
That I was too blind to see
So we were happy

But the armor
Grew hot and heavy
The chain mail
Chafed in private, sensitive places

And I never wanted
A Princess anyway
I just wanted you
