Those prosecutors say John White acted criminally and irrationally. I say it depends on what side of the threatening mob you’re on.
Damn right. Though I have no problem standing by my representing for equal protection under the law in Jena, this was some bullshit.
A bunch of white guys show up at your house after 11 p.m., cursing, calling your 20-year-old son the N-word and threatening to kill him. You take your .32 Beretta, go outside and order the mob off your property.

A year in which black Americans over hyped and overreacted to the plight of the Jena Six ended with most of us hardly murmuring a whimper of protest about what happened to White.

I agree with Kane but what does Rev. Jesse and Br. Al have to do with this case? Forget about them. What about the local NAACP or other black folks living in that community or nearby. What about John White's church or the black folks in his union etc?
BTW, CNulan did predict that the Mr. White would be convicted because his claim of self-defense was negated by his having come of out of his house with a gun.
It's too bad this incident did not occur in Texas. Mr. White could have shot the whole rabid mad dog lot of these thugs and got off scot free with no charges.
I don't feel a bit sorry for that young man and his family. Where I grew up you don't go to someone's house talking smack and you don't let your mouth write a check that your a** can't cash.

would think the house is the last line of defense. Don't let them into your house.
