In this video he says:
“And to me, Barack knows better than that. And why he would let his people let that come out just shows to me either he’s not in control of what they’re saying, or he’s allowing them to say it knowing he’s wrong.”
To say this representing Hillary means you've either sold out...again...or you haven't been paying attention enough to be taken seriously.
Never mind that Billy Shaheen suggested that Obama was a cocaine dealer, or that an anonymous Clinton adviser was quoted in the Guardian as saying, "If you have a social need, you're with Hillary. If you want Obama to be your imaginary hip black friend and you're young and you have no social needs, then he's cool." Never mind the rest of it.
And let's not forget Bob Kerrey and Mark Penn. Or this:
CLINTON CAMPAIGN COUNTY CHAIR PUSHING OBAMA SMEAR...
The infamous Obama-is-a-secret Muslim smear (repeatedly shown to be false) has been winging around the internet via an email forward since late December last year. As I documented for the Nation, it's a permutation of a charge first leveled by a fringe figure in Illinois, but has since been forwarded around by ordinary people either out of ignorance, credulousness or malice. We now have the first example of the smear being forwarded by a someone tied to a rival campaign. Yesterday, Gary Hart, the Jones County Chair of the Democratic party in Iowa (and a Dodd supporter) wrote a diary on DailyKos saying he'd been forwarded the infamous email by an unnamed "Clinton county chair."
Or this
Third Clinton Volunteer Knew Of Smear E-Mail
A third volunteer for Hillary Clinton's campaign was aware of a propaganda e-mail alleging that Barack Obama is a Muslim who plans on "destroying the U.S. from the inside out."
"Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," the email reads. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the U.S. from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level."
Two Clinton volunteers, Linda Olson and Judy Rose, have already been asked to resign from the campaign for their roles in forwarding the e-mail. The AP reported yesterday that Olson, a volunteer coordinator in Iowa County, sent a version of the e-mail to 11 people, including Ben Young, a regional field director for Chris Dodd's campaign. Young passed it on to the AP.
At 8:21 a.m., Phil Singer of the Clinton camp e-mailed a Politico story on Sen. Barack Obama. His subject line was "Politico: Liberal views could haunt Obama," which was the headline of the story.
At 8:32 a.m., Danny Diaz of the Republican National Committee sent an e-mail with the same story, same subject line. The only difference between the two e-mails is that Diaz capitalized every letter in his headline.
Who is it that's either complicit or out of control, Bob?
You Clintonistas have a problem. You're still trying to manipulate information based on the media cycles Bill mastered. But a lot of us don't have that short attention span anymore...and we don't forget what you ACTUALLY say and do.

I would be curious to know
I would be curious to know if the reservations that black progressives have had towards the Clintons were as pronounced when they came to power. Has anyone been surprised as the Clintons have consistently shown their true colors? How has the black progressive agenda evolved since the start of the first Clinton term?
Most Black Progressives got
Most Black Progressives got suspicious with the Sister Souljah incident. I think that's when Jesse Jackson started losing them too. The Lani Guinier thing pushed more of us over the side. I think the group memory of the Clintons being 'so black' consists of "mend it, don't end it," and "a national conversation on race"...both of which turned up empty. I think all our surprise with Bill was over by the end of his second term.
And no one knew, because they don't talk TO us, they talk ABOUT us.
black progressives were
black progressives were likely wary about clinton as early as ricky ray rector.
i don't know about black liberals (neo and otherwise).

Ricky Ray Rector raised
Ricky Ray Rector raised serious doubts for me and the Sistah Souljah pandering moment cemented the deal. By the time, Bill threw Lani Guinier under the bus I was long gone from the reservation .
i make the distinction
i make the distinction between black progressives and black liberals because in a number of black circles support for bill clinton was very high. i say was because i'm pretty sure that drops after this campaign.
This stuff is getting so bad
This stuff is getting so bad that even some white folks are noticing.
With the latest surrogate eruption, though, I think Bob Johnson himself IS the message they were trying to send. Considering that Clinton's dog-whistling is targeted towards whites, what was needed was for Johnson to say something that would make himself the focus of the media attention and, in the way the "this blackfolk can be directly exchanged for that blackfolk" thing works in many white minds, associate him - and BET with all the booty shaking and thugging and the other nasty ways the channel stereotypes and denigrates Black people - with Obama.
Vote Obama, the message says, and you'll put someone in the white house who is little more than a street corner thug who will corrupt your children while his wife and daughters (don't fall for the facade!) shake their booties in all the rooms.
I don't know...it strikes me
I don't know...it strikes me more like when Republicans imported Alan Keyes to run against Obama. Fight Negros with Negros. Add a touch of Roland Fryer
And you're in there.
I don't know... I think that
I don't know... I think that is part of it, the Alan Keyes type thing. But, the next day or so, what is being heavily pushed today by online Clinton partisans?
This story (along with rhetoric by some about how he has promised to use hip hop to teach the children of America, or something like that and about how Obama is the REAL racist, of course.)
Some folks have been trying to debunk it but, as we all know... it's not the truth that matters, what matters is that the lie gets out there in the first place.
I hope pimp daddy Bob
I hope pimp daddy Bob Johnson takes his minstrel show on the road for the Clinton Campaign. He's almost as good a promoter of the ABC (anybody but clinton) option as Bill and Hillary.
This story (along with
That's pathetic.
BET represents more than
BET represents more than sufficient grounds to find Johnson guilty as charged but let's not forget too how he and his minions destroyed the news and information program founded by Glenn Ford and others, America's Black Forum.
Really? I thought it died
Really? I thought it died when Arstrong Baldpate became a regular.
The appearance of Armstrong
The appearance of Armstrong Baldpate was a sign that the program had been slated for an early grave. The myth was that black people needed to hear the views of paid mouthpieces like Baldpate etc. as if they did not already have sufficient outlets to spread their poisonous views.
