BET Founder Johnson Defends His Recent Criticisms of Obama exposes Hillary's real problem.
"We've always said we need a perfect, well-spoken, Harvard-educated black candidate who would prove we've transcended race," the billionaire African American businessman and supporter of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) said in an interview yesterday. "Well, now we've got him and nobody knows how to campaign against him."
And so she hired Bob Johnson, who (because of BET) is one of the ten Black people most reviled by Black people, to say incredibly stupid things. And in the linked article he says
"The Obama campaign -- win, lose or draw -- is going to have to address race," Johnson said. "If we don't have this debate about race within the Democratic Party . . . we could find ourselves with a division in this party as we go up against whoever the Republicans put up."
So...the Clinton campaign raised the topic...via Shaheen, Kerrey, Penn, the mysterious campaign chair that forwarded the madrassa myth, and two, apparently lesser entities that also forwarded such crap.
Johnson said that one of President Bill Clinton's political strengths was his ability to connect with black voters, and that it is an ability shared by his wife.
I think this series of incidents suggests the Clintons should disabuse themselves of that notion.
