Prometheus 6

For about a decade I'd read almost no fiction, unless you count Abdulrahman Munif's Cities of Salt trilogy.  Then I decided to break down and read Ursula K. LeGuin (Left Hand of Darkness) and Neal Stephenson (Snow Crash).  Snow Crash IMO is extremely poorly written and executed on so many levels.  LHoD was so good I read Eye of the Heron and then thought I should read a book by Octavia Butler.

I picked Wild Seed, which I later learned was part of a 4-book series. It's one of the best books I've read.  It's absolutely brilliant.  Thanks for turning me onto her.
