Execellent point! The three of them had a total of about six years of elective office. Teddy Roosevelt, in fact, had only served slightly less than a year as governor of New York.

"If Obama was not a black man..."? What if Hillary was not a woman? What if John Edwards was from the west instead of the south? What if Bill Clinton had not cheated on his wife? What if Billy Shaheen had kept his fool mouth shut? What if Geraldine Ferraro had spoken up when people were making up big, fat lies about Al Gore and John Kerry?

You can go on all day long with "what if." Every single "what if" you can imagine has the power to change where we stand today.

So tell me, Ms. Ferraro: why is this one, specific "what if" so interesting to you?

Because Obama is kicking the shit out of her candidate, and because Chill Bill can't go racist anymore so SOMEbody has to.

As the old folks used to say: I'll give you ten guesses and the first nine are wrong.  

It still just pisses me off that reporters let politicians slide with that kinda stuff. Some reporter had to be there to listen and write down what she said. Why not ask her: "What if you had different stuff in your pants? Would you have been chosen to run for vice president?"
