Left-wingers hate Clarence Thomas, Ward Connerly, Larry Elder and Steele because they assert a right to think for themselves. If they regard “progressive” premises as fundamentally wrong, they are not under any real obligation to support these premises. If the Republican vision makes more sense, why should they be denied a chance to advocate for that vision?
No one denies these fools their right to be fools. It's just that no one takes them seriously anymore after they do...not even Republicans.
These fools don't think for themselves, they just toe a different party line...one antithetical to Black interests. And they can't even be honest about it. It's why we can't hug yet.

The notion of black
The notion of black conservatives as victims is laughable. No one is working to deny them opportunities to advocate for their positions. In fact, many of them are working everyday to promote themselves and monetize their stance as independent voices in the black community. Many, if not all of them, pursue this course with more zeal than they have displayed to date for recruiting and attracting other black folk to their cause or persuading black voters to support a black conservative candidate for elective office. The fact they perhaps are no longer invited to sip cocktails or dine with black liberals seems like a personal problem that should not be laid at the black community's doorstep.
Ugh, "Human Events"?
OK, I've been reading Richard J. Evan's trilogy on the rise and rule of Naziism (third volume not released yet). I've also read a lot of actual, first hand, Nazi propaganda (there's an awful lot online).* Human Events is more batshit insane than the hideous crap put out by Göbbels, von den Bruck, and neo-Nazis.

*It's not really fair to call Oswald Spengler a Nazi, but he did vote for them several times and criticized them mainly for being diletanttes and poseurs. And yes, I've read about 400pp.of Decline of the West.
