I'm not sure anyone should have to campaign in a different dimension.
"People in Findlay are kind of funny about change," said Republican Mayor Pete Sehnert, a retired police officer who ran for the office on a whim last year. "They always want things the way they were, and any kind of development is always viewed as making things worse, a bad thing."
When people on College Street started hearing rumors about Obama -- who looked different from other politicians and often talked about change -- they easily believed the nasty stories about an outsider.
"I think Obama would be a disaster, and there's a lot of reasons," said Pollard, explaining the rumors he had heard about the candidate from friends he goes camping with. "I understand he's from Africa, and that the first thing he's going to do if he gets into office is bring his family over here, illegally. He's got that racist [pastor] who practically raised him, and then there's the Muslim thing. He's just not presidential material, if you ask me."
Said Don LeMaster: "He's a good speaker, but you've got to dig deeper than that for the truth. Politicians tell you anything. You have look beyond the surface, and then there are some real lies."
Said Jeanette Collins, a 77-year-old who lives across the street: "All I know for sure about Obama is that we're not ready for him."

Yes! They are wrong!
and this:
...can't both be true at the same time.
Is it really impractical for black folks to succeed and form our own nation? PT, you can be the first president/prime minister.
"PT, you can be the first
"PT, you can be the first president/prime minister."
Thanks but I think you probably meant "P6."
Anyway my thoughts about serving as the prime minister or president of any country is to quote Bob Dylan when he wrote:
"If my thought dreams could be seen
They'd probably put my head in a guillotine."
Thanks but I think you
Probably not.
From the 17th whatever you call it of the Tao Te Ching:
But of a good leader, who talks little,
When his work is done, his aim fulfilled,
They will all say, "We did this ourselves."
You explain things, I keep bringing up stuff that needs explaining. You're probably more comforting than I.

I meant ptcruiser. You have very little qualms about correcting bad government, black or white. And I wouldn't want a P6 administration to get on your bad side.

The thought of spending a large portion of my life having lunch and dinner with people I barely know does not seem too appealing. Then there is question of applying balm several times a day to the collective consciousness and acting as if I am genuinely interested in the opinions of people who should keep their opinions to themselves. These are not admirable traits in a political leader.
And I wouldn't want a P6
That's curious. You think it would?
That's curious. You think it
No!
I don't think you'd impose bad policy or anything like that. I just had to have a reason to chose between the two of you. And it came down to if one of you were to get on the bad side of the other, which one would keep the new nation smelling pretty. In my short time of conversing online with you, it seems P6 would be honest while being conscious of the nation's image. It seems pt wouldn't care about the nation's image; just about justice. And with the new nation's setting in a global world that includes a pissed of US, I'd rather have P6 guiding a pt administration, then the US misquoting pt's criticisms of a P6 administration.
My actual point is that everytime I start feeling "ok" about this country, I'm reminded of that something just ain't right with many Americans. I can't believe these people considered themselves and their neighbors to be better able to discern the truth than the people who actually know the truth. Aren't these the same people who gave us Bush? So, in response to my disgust, I entertained the idea of African Americans succeeding in masse. Or, at least the 94% of us who knew better than to vote for Bush in 2004. The new country needs a leader and someone to hold the leader accountable, the press, if you will. The leader needs to enact good policy. Both of you will do that. The press needs to hold the leader accountable without making the new leader look bad. P6 obviously as this press thing down, and he'd probably be more concerned with our global image.
So, I actually meant nothing that serious about who would make the better leader. And I'm sorry I mentioned it. The dream of an independent nation of African Americans, a Haiti of North America, is a "happy place" I go to every now and again.
So, I actually meant nothing
Don't even worry about it. I'm usually curious about how I'm seen.
Don't even worry about
Whew! Good.
I liked being selected.
I liked being selected. Thanks! Nothing to be sorry about. No sweat, no strain.
