how or why would Obama drilling home McCain's own self-professed ignorance about the economy would open the discussion up to Ayers and Wright all you'll get is stuttering. Halperin had to admit that McCain pledge to run a high-minded, issue-oriented, non-character assassination campaign but only Obama is supposed to be held to that standard even when Obama didn't attack McCain's character: he attacked McCain's utter aloofness which, again, is an extension of McCain's own self-professed ignorance about the economy.

Somehow, Obama could be painted as an elitist, as someone out of touch with ordinary Americans and the second Obama takes advantage of McCain's own goof and gaffe, somehow Obama using the truth in McCain's own words against him is a bad thing. And George Will needs to STFU. John McCain has in no wise shown "deep concern for his fellow" and McCain FDR. Period.

And wait... Was Will making this argument when the McCain or Clinton campaign tried to paint Obama as an elitist? Huffinton Post says he didn't. Fair.org caught it too. Not that anyone would confuse Will as someone who isn't a hapless partisan.

While Will may have been true to his idea that "the question is not whether a candidate is an elite but which elite gets to rule" (paraphrase), Will had no problems misrepresenting the kind of "attitude" Obama has when he tried to paint Obama as someone who "especially rejected "American exceptionalism, the notion that the United States was specially good and decent..."

Hmmm... Somehow we're supposed to associate McCain, the man who said the economy is fundamentally strong... the man who answered the question "Are Americans better off than they were 8 years ago?" with a yes... with a yes "overall" as someone who is not only concerned about his fellow Americans but in touch with their economic reality despite his statements to the contrary but we're supposed to forget the many times Obama has trumpeted the melody of "American exceptionalism" too many times to mention.

If I had a dollar for every time Barack (and Michelle) has said "a story that could only happen in America", I'd be confused as to which of my kitchen tables I would sit down and count all my money.

This campaign has more than anything pulled the sheet off the different standards a black man is held to versus a white man in the United Snakes of America. John McSame was indisputably one of the crooks in the Keating 5 that cost the US tax payer's children's children billions if not trillions of dollars on a rich get richer scheme, that when caught got a government bail out, then he has the nerve to say that the average person in foreclosure needs to suck it up. Phil Graham his chief adviser author of the Enron loophole is responsible for every Energy type scam that has bilked the tax payer ( especially here in Cali ) out trillions of dollars and also crushed the economy with speculation $5/gallon gas ( while McSame makes points calling for drilling ), as well as Graham lobbied for the banks responsible for the subprime mortgage meltdown. His other chief adviser was in bed with Georgia as McSame threatened to used the US military to protect private corporate financial interests.

All this, while these white people argue about Obama's tenuous connection to Rezco and the weathermen. HA we have always been told that to be black in the US you have to be at least twice as good as the next white person, this is proving that to be a black president you have to be at least 10 times that...hypocrites
