All respect and no restraint

Okay, now I believe her

I wasn't impressed by her speech last night. And I know they worked out the procedure in advance. I know she had no choice.

But Hillary having just moved to end the roll call vote early and nominate Obama by acclimation, I am now willing to say she's not a problem at this point.

And I notice Ms. Pelosi gave absolutely no time for a response to the call for opposing votes.

You're probably right but she and her campaign did all they could do to poison the well during the primary. At this point, they may longer be spewing contaminants but the damage has been done. It was Hillary, after all, who questioned Obama's fitness to lead and she still hasn't withdrawn that charge. In fact, she can't withdraw the charge without it being raised again as an issue. Maybe I'm more cynical than you are but that's how I'm feeling right along through here.

I don't believe anything she says...but, that said

I cried when it happened. LMAO at the Pelosi observation...thought I was the only one who noticed it...

Maybe temporarily. I'm suspending disbelief at the moment, trying to see the picture they're drawing for themselves.

Contamination or not, if it

Contamination or not, if it seems like the Clintons messed this up for Obama, they won't have a chance in 2012. And I do think with that Harriet Tubman reference, she's trying reach out to black folks again.

Don't know if it'll help, though.

Bill's speech was satisfactory

The two of them clearly have different motives. But the one thing they share is the Clinton brand. Hillary should have conceded in March, then she had a chance to do it on June 3rd, and she still hasn't really admitted that she lost. I noticed in her speech she never mentioned the fact that she is a proud wife. Everyone loves a winner, and this is about power. Bill's asking price for speeches or books may have already been impacted and it came across like he knows it's in his best interest for Obama to win. Being considered a racist Democrat isn't good for business. Hillary on the other hand after her so-called 35 years of experience is still "finding her niche" ? Given the undermining comments coming from the Clintons the last few days it's still not possible to take what they are saying at face value. But Hillary is truly a vile, vile human being.

They've got us figured out.

Hillary knows that all she had to do was mention Harriet Tubman and all of the black people would forgive her. Just like Bill said that the anger towards him will not last. White people have figured out that we are emotional and playing the saxophone or buying us all barbecue wings is enough for our vote. The Clintons have been incredibly condescending and insulting throughout this whole process, and I for one am withholding judgement until after the election, especially if Obama loses.

sall, it'll take a lot more than Harriet Tubman.

If Obama wins, I won't curse them. I'll never trust them, then again, I never did. If he loses, well, they'll see just how mad Black folk can get and nurse a grudge.

The Clintons are out of the

The Clintons are out of the mix for now. I think both got what they were looking for after Obama got what he was looking for and they'll probably fade into the background for a while.

Harriet Tubman

The only reason Hillary mentioned Harriet Tubman is because Maggie Williams gave her the quote and told her to use it. These folks don't fool me and they no longer fool ordinary, everyday black folks either. As for the niggerati, well, they can't be helped because they are too prone to allowing their legitimate aspirational concerns overrule their common sense.
