There are things important enough to discuss (like the apparently officially sanctioned story on How Loans To Minorities Threatened America's Credit infrastructure).
I don't feel like doing it right now.

No need.
It's not true. Predator lenders and the derivatives markets worked in an unholy concert to slay the evil empire. Not to mention the warzzz.
My husband and I stopped arguing about money years ago, when we realized it was always over the last twenty dollars. We didn't argue about money when we weren't broke, in other words. Blaming the crash of a derivates run market with leveraged (meaning baseless) valuations, is the source of the pain$-- not the culluds. But if they can't blame the culluds, they've gotta blame themselves. Not likely.
Emma Coleman Jordan Writes:
"The campaign to racialize a global financial meltdown operates in a fact-free zone. A national study of the performance of banks covered by the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) shows that these government-backed banks were much less likely than other lenders to make the kinds of risky, high-cost home purchase loans that helped fuel the foreclosure crisis. The average interest rate for CRA loans was much lower than other lenders. CRA banks were more than twice as likely as other lenders to keep the loans they write instead of selling them off to the highest bidder."

Two SICK GOP Rallies
At today's Palin rally:
"And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,'" she continued.
"Boooo!" the crowd repeated.
"Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience."
At today's McCain Rally:
..... and McCain asked the crowd "who is Barack Obama?" Immediately you hear someone yell "terrorist." McCain pauses, the audience laughs, and McCain continues on, not acknowledging, not chastising, not correcting.

My dad, who is a tv
My dad, who is a tv reporter, covered a Palin rally in Forty Meyers, Florida today.... said it was pretty spooky.
I have noticed that Tom Brokaw is embracing the narrative that the fiscal crisis was brought about by "undeserving" people who received home loans and acted irresponsibly. I wonder how he is going to moderate the debate tomorrow.
