A richly varied and culturally diverse cross-section of white people will lose their damn minds. We're going to find out pretty damn quick who's really been trying to do right and who's all talk.

I can't say that...

In my considered medical opinion, expect to see a spike in the number of cardiovascular events -stroke and heart attack- and alcohol and drug related illnesses (in the next six months Rush Limbaugh will most likely do a stint in rehab and Lou Dobbs will probably throw some turds from his aorta). Tim Russert was just the first. And expect some black victims as well. Stephanie Tubbs Jones was the index case.

You know me, Quaker...I got evidence, I'm on it. I feel like I got enough evidence that there are some unbalanced folk out here, who simply will not be able to deal with the cognitive dissonance cause by the clash between what they KNOW and what actually happens. Not being one of them, I got no real idea about the scale of the problem.

I think back to something rikyrah said back during the primaries when questions arose concerning Obama's electability. She felt that enough white people would vote for Obama because, deep down inside, they loved their country and understood that he was the right person for the right time. Poll numbers bear this out. All it takes, however, is one rotten apple to spoil the whole bunch.
