Jason Whitlock has decided Serena Williams is a slacker because her ass is too big.
With a reduction in glut, a little less butt and a smidgen more guts, Serena Williams would easily be as big as Michael Jackson, dwarf Tiger Woods and take a run at Rosa Parks.
You can call me unfair. You can even scream that I'm sexist.
But there's an inescapable truth about Serena Williams: She's an underachiever.
This is the guy who says her ass is too big.
Physician heal thyself.
The real problem is hinted at by this picture, from The Plog, which says:
Weight watcher Whitlock also works up an appetite wondering: "Seriously, how else can Serena fill out her size 16 shorts without grazing at her stall between matches?"
That's a little creepy coming from a man who dresses in designer mumus.
He paid these women to pose with him. He can't pay Serena enough.
I don't think he's working on a Pulitzer this time. I think he just wants a piece of that ass. That, or to remind us he exists. Most likely the latter; even he can't be stupid enough to think he had a shot.

Whitlock's neck is out of joint because Serena probably won't win 22 Grand Slam titles like Steffi Graf but his argument ignores, for example, the degree of social isolation Graf endured to garner her 22 titles. When she was younger her father, who embezzled money from her winnings and was later convicted of tax fraud, tightly controlled her life and routinely turned down any social invitations she received. In contrast, Richard and Oracene Williams made sure that Venus and Serena focused on more than just playing tennis. If the result is that Serena is not going to win 22 Grand Slams, so be it. Professional tennis is a station in her life. It is not the whole of her life. Whitlock should sit his behind down, pop open a brewskie and enjoy watching Serena play as long as she chooses to play. It won't last forever and it was never meant to.
